St John Annual Appeal 2014
The Ambulance Challenge is an opportunity for business leaders within our communities to take part in an observer shift with our Emergency Ambulance Paramedics or a Rapid Response vehicle during our St John Annual Appeal. Nigel Gormack along with other community business leaders and CEOs took part with the objective to raise monies to contribute to annual fundraising efforts. The National fundraising target per annum is $30 million with over $10 million required in the South Island. This covers the shortfall between government funding and the required resource to fund the core ambulance service, the purchase of capital items and underpin community programmes such as Caring Caller, Health Shuttles, Friends of the Hospital and St John Youth.
